The story begins the summer of 2011 just before Hurricane Irene hit.
Irene and I were collaborating to teach our five children how to make movies, and Super 9 Films was born. We spent the entire summer getting our kids to write scripts, storyboard, direct, run cameras, act, produce, and edit video. Meanwhile, Irene and I could not stop talking about photography.
Hurricane Irene hit, and both our families were out of power for two weeks. We camped out together, and a lifelong bond was formed between the two families.
Super 9 Studios was born the day we shoved our kids onto the school bus that fall, and there’s been no turning back!
